Copper Moscow Mules

As with any popular recipe, whether food or drink, there’s always room for controversy whenever the topic of the ‘best recipe’ arises; and when it comes to Moscow Mule recipes, there’s no exception.

As far as we are concerned, it is all about personal preference and the only thing that should be considered is that you make sure to use the best quality ingredients you can find. That includes good quality vodka and the freshest ginger and other ingredients available. Apart from that, it is all about personal preference and adding your own personal twist into the mix. In the end, it’s all about having a great time in good company.

The Healthy Mule

Let’s face it, alcoholic drinks hardly fall into the health food category but there are ways to make your drinks a bit healthier than the mainstream.

With Moscow Mules the ginger beer can be the least healthy ingredient. Depending on the brand you buy it can be loaded with sugar, chemicals and all sorts of other artificial ingredients. To avoid all these additives you can omit the ginger ale and replace it with sparkling water. To get the authentic Moscow Mule flavor you can use ginger infused vodka and syrup. Try it, it is delicious and very refreshing.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz ginger infused vodka
  • 1 oz ginger infused simple syrup (or to taste)
  • 1/2 ounce of fresh lime juice
  • 4 – 6 ounces sparkling water
  • Plenty of ice

Method

  • Pour vodka and lime juice into your mug
  • Fill with ice and ginger beer
  • Stir to combine
  • Garnish with a slice of lime

The Cardamom Mule

Cardamon Moscow Mule Recipe

Cardamom is a wonderful aromatic spice usually used in food. It goes exceptionally well with the main flavors of a Moscow Mule, namely ginger and lime. Try this variation, we are sure you will love it. You can find the recipe for cardamom infused sugar syrup: Cardamom Syrup Recipe (and more)

Ingredients

  • 2 oz vodka
  • 1 oz cardamom infused simple syrup (or to taste)
  • 1/2 ounce of fresh lime juice
  • 4 – 6 ounces ginger beer
